Instructions for Painting Bow Wave

The part of the bow wave may be painted a Dark Blue or Green.  If these colors are not available, it may be painted and Dark Gray - almost Black.  The colors in this dark part of the bow wave should not reflect more than 8% or 10% of the incident light.

Between the bow and the muzzle of the guns in No. 1 Turret, the lower edge of the White foam (where the foam touches the upper edge of the dark bow wave) should be painted fairly sharp, while the upper edge of the White foam should be very soft, and blend with the Navy Gray.  Aft of the No. 1 Turret both the upper and lower edges of the White foam should be fairly sharp.
